To protect users from phishing scams and ransomware,Microsoft is rolling out new security features for home and Personal versions of it's Office 365 Suite.The new features include email encryption,ransomware detection and recovery & files restore features.
Nowadays ransomware has become an increasingly pervasive attack method and prevent access to files in an effort to extort money from victims.
The new email encryption feature in Outlook.com offers an extra layer of security and end-to-end encryption of user's email.when you use Outlook.com email encryption,your email remains encrypted over a secure connection-minimising the threat of your information being leaked to hackers.
Another feature i.e. files restore allows you to to restore your entire OneDrive to a previous point in time within 30 days.This new features can also detect ransomware attacks & help users restore their one drive to a point.
Basically those features are added & in future more such features are added to Office365 suite for protection against ransomware & other malware:The software Giant added.
